The Pro-State® Study - Columbia University Department of Urology

This retrospective clinical study by the Department of Urology at Columbia University, published in The Open Urology & Nephrology Journal, evaluated the self reported functional outcomes of the Pro-State in 115 men.

Study Abstract

Supporting healthy pelvic function and maintaining urinary comfort can be a complex part of a man’s wellness journey. While localized massage is a traditional practice, the benefits of a self-care approach are now being explored.  In non-clinical terms, the urologists reviewed data from users of the Pro-State to examine improvements in reported quality of life and satisfaction with pelvic function, providing a foundation for future observational research.

Key Findings

Daily Comfort: 60% of participants reported "very good improvement" or "complete satisfaction" regarding their localized pelvic comfort and daily ease of movement.

Urinary Wellness: Participants reported notable support for a steady, natural urinary flow and a greater sense of comfort regarding daily frequency and urgency.

Sexual Vitality: Regular use of the device was linked to reported benefits in overall pelvic floor responsiveness and sexual vigor.

Clinical Conclusion

"Based on these findings we conclude that the at-home-use prostate massage device warrants further analysis in a controlled prospective clinical trial."
