About High Island Health

High Island Health was founded in 1997 by inventor Jiro Takashima, in Houston, TX in the USA.  Mr. Takashima had received several patents around combustion engines when he was asked by a urologist to develop a safe and effective at home prostate massage tool.   The urologist was frustrated by inconsistent efficacy of medications available to treat different prostate conditions.  Prostate massage would be a way to promote prostate health and complement and promote the effectiveness of the medications.

Mr. Takashima leveraged his knowledge around engine design into a concept for a hands-free massager that would be driven only by the body's muscle contractions.   He patented this idea and developed the first HIH model - the hand made PS 3 Fin:
