Advertised as "Kegel Exerciser"

Postby husband on Fri Jun 05, 2009 8:06 pm

I purchased the set of 4 off amazon, and it's listed as a "Kegel Exerciser" there. My wife & I both intend on using this, for health benefits of strengthening our pelvic floor - she has given natural birth to 1 child and we have our second on the way.

I see many "kegel exercisers" out there for women that are used vaginally, and am wondering if this one could be used by her vaginally - is this how it was meant to be used by a woman?

Thanks

Hello,

First, we want to commend both you and your wife for taking an active role in maintaining your health.

In answer to your question the Peristal is designed for anal use.

Furthermore, we strongly recommend that since both of you are using these devices that both of you use them for
anal kegel exercises only!

This will prevent bacteria from spreading anus to vagina causing your wife to get infections.

Important:Any device used in the anus must be cleaned thoroughly before being used in the vagina.

Also, the same muscle groups are involved when doing anal kegel exercises.(PC muscle) So, your wife will benefit from anal kegels.

There are other devices made specifically for vaginal kegel exercises.

That's what I had deduced after much more research, thanks for the confirmation!
